FAQ

What do I wear?

Long pants, preferably with some stretch in the fabric, layers on top, based on the weather, and hard soled shoes or boots with a minimum of a 1 inch defined heel. (Sneakers are NOT acceptable footwear)

Gloves are helpful both to keep the riders hands warm in the cooler months and to absorb sweat from the hands in the summer to provide a more secure grip on the reins.

In the winter month, changing one’s socks before you come to barn is advisable as any sweat that has accumulated in the sock fibers during the day will chill the feet very quickly.

Do I need to bring anything else?

As with any physical activity, staying hydrated is important so bringing a water bottle is helpful. Also sunblock and insect repellent can be useful.
